President's Message

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the SATAI members for
their patience during this period of transition within the
organization.

In addition to altering the timing of our yearly conferences, SATAI
has lost two dedicated volunteers.  Lloyd Deckley, who has been
involved with SATAI since the beginning, has resigned from his
long time-position as the person in charge of membership.  He was
also responsible for getting the mail from the PO Box.

In addition to Lloyd, we also saw John Heimann resign as our
Treasurer.  He has been involved in many facets of running this
organization, including President.  Since retiring from the Phoenix
Police Department, he has begun to work in the field of education
and as such, has had to give up his position as an Officer.

Thank you to both Lloyd and John and we wish you well in your
new endeavors.

On the plus side, there are more opportunities for you to get
involved!  An organization is only as strong as the involvement of
its members and we are currently searching for two people to help
fill needs.

Both of the above positions have been filled, but we are in need of
someone to serve as Secretary.  If you are interested in helping
out, please contact me via phone or email.

Hope to see all of you in California  this March. If any member has
questions about the March meeting or would like to suggest a
presentation topic, please do not hesitate to call me.
